beauty of Natural Bridge State Park or the novelty of Prairie Dog Town State Park.
Also, Yellowstone National Park is only a few hours away.
Learn About Montana History
If you're interested in learning about Montana history then you'll want to pay a
visit to the Crazy Mountain Museum. The museum is open from Memorial Day
through Labor Day. Among its permanent displays are a model of Big Timber
in 1907 and a one-room schoolhouse. Also the nearby town of Melville
features one of the earliest churches in Montana.
Horseback Riding,
Fishing, Waterslide and More
If you're looking for more active entertainment
there's always the Big Timber Waterslide. Another option is to go rafting
with local guides on the Yellowstone or Stillwater rivers. Don't forget
about horseback riding with local ranchers, fishing and golfing.
There are also cutting horse competitions, a sheep drive in Reed Point and local
rodeos.
The sandbox and swing set are favorites for the
youngsters.
